Under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II, to whom we express our gratitude as well as that of the members of our association, the 2nd Monte-Carlo Fighting Masters will take place on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight at the Louis II Stadium, in the Salle Gaston Medecin.
This 2nd edition will celebrate Thai boxing (Muay Thai or Thai-Boxing), a renowned feet and fists fighting discipline rooted in strong tradition, which is an integral part of the culture of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The proceeds from the evening will be donated to the organisation "Peace and Sport, l'Organisation pour la Paix par le Sport", which will use the funds for actions carried out locally in favour of the most disadvantaged young people worldwide.
14 world champion participants: 7 fights for 7 Thaï boxing world championships !
This unique event will be exceptional in bringing together 14 athletes with at least one world championship title, who will compete in seven bouts for seven world championships under the auspices of the World Muaythai Council. The HSH the Sovereign Prince Cup, and the Peace and Sport Cup will be awarded to one of these French, Thai, Russian, Belarusian, Turkish, and Swedish champions.
The success of the launch press conference in Bangkok
The exceptional line up of fighters was announced in Bangkok on December 13th, at the launch press conference held at the headquarters of the Thai Ministry of Sports in the presence of numerous key figures.
The President of the WMC and the speakers addressed roughly forty representatives of the Thai and foreign press, to thank HSH Prince Albert II for his patronage and praise the level of excellence of the event in Monaco.
An exceptional line up of fighters
In the Junior Middleweight division (69 kg), the Thai Benchamek Buakaw, the planetary star known as "the white Lotus" 6-time world champion, the Thai Fight and Thai Max champion, will face, for the revenge of 2011, the international French star Djime Coulibaly, two-time world champion, elected French fighters of the year 2013!
The Thai Star Pakorn Sakyothin, 24 years old, awarded Boxer of the year 2013 by the Thai sportive authority, Lumpinee Stadium champion in 2013, belt will face in 61.5 kg, the Turkish fighter and three-time world champion Yetkin Ozkul;
In the Junior Welterweight division (63.5 kg), the French fighter Dylan Salvador Wako Pro Thaï Boxing World Champion, will face the Thai Ekkarit, WMC world champion and holder of the Rajadamnoen stadium belt.
In the Middleweight division (72,5 kg), the flamboyant Thai Champion Berneung, triple world champion, will face the French fighter Abdallah Mabel, or the "Panther", five-time world champion.
In 76 kg (Super middle weight), the Swedish, two-time world champion Alex Harris, who has become a television personality in Sweden, will fight the French fighter Yohan Lidon, the seven-time world champion known as "The lumberjack".
In a battle of titans, in the Heavyweight division (-95 kg), the Russian Artem Vakhitov, four-time world champion, will be facing the Belarusian Dzianis Hancharonak, six-time world champion. Both fighters are also world champions of the World Games.
In the super heavy weight category, another terrible fight, between the australian Paul Slowinski (33 years old, 1,94 m, 114 kg), 8 times world champion, and the Ukrainian Tsotne Rogava (21 years old, 1,92 m, 102 kg), world champion IFMA 2012.
